In situ incorporation of CoP nanoparticles onto BP nanosheets to improve electrochemical performance of Li-ion battery
JOURNAL OF MATERIALS SCIENCE-MATERIALS IN ELECTRONICS(2021)
Abstract
Black phosphorus (BP) with layered structure has been deemed as a promising anode material for Li-ion batteries (LIBs). However, BP exhibits volume expansion and poor environment stability during the discharge/charge process. Here, CoP nanoparticles were introduced onto BP nanosheets to improve the electrochemical performance of LIBs. Constructed BP@CoP composite exhibits higher capacity and better stability than those of BP nanosheets while used as the anode for LIBs. The BP@CoP electrode exhibits the discharge specific capacity of 892 mAh g −1 at 0.1 A g −1 and a high specific capacity of 214 mAh g −1 at 1 A g −1 after charging for 900 cycles. This study provides an effective strategy to develop and improve the storage performance of the electrodes for LIBs.
