Liver Transplantation Results by Donor Age.

•Numerous studies have been published on liver donor age, with widely discrepant results. At the beginning of suboptimal graft use, the results were generally unfavorable.•The present investigation found no significant differences among patients as a function of graft age, indicating that transplants from aging donors may be a good alternative to conventional transplantation.•Given the need to increase the pool of liver donors, older donors should be considered as a source for liver transplantation, although careful selection is required.
