Machine learning model for detecting fentanyl analogs from mass spectra

•Our machine learning (ML) models aim to detect novel fentanyl analogs.•They achieve over 99% probability of detection with 1% probability of false alarm.•These ML models complement existing library matching techniques.•Practitioners from diverse fields may benefit from this detection capability.
