•A prediction model of Taylor bubble rising velocity in annulus was proposed.•A flow field prediction model considering bubble shape was proposed.•The energy conversion process of the Taylor bubble rising in the ring air was analyzed.•The model can accurately predict the rising velocity of Taylor bubble in annulus.
