Abstract
This article presents analysis of using fiber Bragg gratings for deflection distance measurement of a material subjected to bending force. The measurement method used in presented research is based on the phenomenon of the back reflection of Bragg wavelength, which enables a point reading of strain and temperature. The article presents the effect of material thickness and the location of Bragg gratings on the value of the material deformation and on their basis deflection distance value was determined.
