Abstract
A rare fungal species Tricholoma joachimii (Tricholomataceae, Basidiomycota) is reported for the first time from the eastern Baltic region. It was found in acidic sandy soil in Scots pine stands at four sites in southern Lithuania, which are the north-easternmost European localities of this species. A morphological description, ITS sequence data, photograph, and line drawings of T. joachimii specimens are presented. Notes on the ecology and distribution of the species are discussed.
