•A tacholess order tracking method for bearing signals is presented.•Bearing envelope signal is transformed using Fast Dynamic Time Warping.•Smeared fault signatures are squeezed to their individual spectral peaks.•Verified by simulation and experiments from laboratory and industrial setup.
