摘要
The formation of wustite is observed during the isothermal reduction of hematite (Fe 2 O 3 ) hydrogen at a volumetric flow rate of 6 × 10 4 h −1 in the temperature range of 300–500°С. Wustite forms at temperatures below the thermodynamic limit of FeO phase existence. It is found that an external magnetic field affects the rate of hematite reduction. Raising the strength of the field from 50 Oe to 5 kOe notably accelerates the rate of the reaction. It is assumed that a magnetic field can initiate spin conversion, especially singlet–triplet transitions.
