摘要
• EDTA additions modify coatings characteristics, increase coating thickness, crystallite size as well as pores size compared to the coating without EDTA.• Coatings with a higher amount of EDTA exhibit better tribological performance due to the formation of a higher content of rutile phase (TiO2).• The ability of apatite formation in SBF solutions by anodic coatings obtained in phosphate-based solution also it helps to protect the material against wear.
