Universality class change from Mean-Field to 3D-Heisenberg in magnetocaloric compounds SmNi3-xFex

•SmNi3-xFex were synthesized by arc melting under Ar and homogenized at 1073 K.•Large variation of TC from 57 to 237 K with Fe content.•Change of the critical behavior from Mean-Field model to Heisenberg model in the asymptotic regime.•Mean-Field toward Heisenberg model change in the asymptotic regime.•Interaction range at the boundary is determined for the ternary compound.
