摘要
Introduction: Ovarian tumors are a common form of neoplasm in women. Mature cystic teratoma is the most common type. However, bilateral ovarian teratomas are relatively rare. Most women are asymptomatic. If present, the symptoms are often non-specific, usually consisting of mass effect causing abdominal discomfort. Ovarian cystectomy is suggested in order to make a definitive diagnosis, preserve ovarian tissue, and avoid potential problems such as torsion or rupture. Case report: A 37-year-old Caucasian female presented with complaints of pain in the lower abdomen of three days duration.
