摘要
•The demonstration that using a constrained optimization approach to retrieve the surface impedance from absorption coefficient data is feasible for a realistic room.•The demonstration that the complex valued impedance is an important consideration, especially for more damped rooms.•The measured Frequency Response Functions of the considered room can be nicely reproduced by BEM simulations in the low frequency range, even when considering monopole sound sources, as long as the sensitivity of the sound source is well characterized.
