Abstract
In order to reduce child occupant traffic injuries, more than 40 countries have issued standards and regulations to protect children. This paper systematically sorts out the relevant laws and standards related to child occupant traffic safety in China, and analyzes the influential factors of children road traffic injury by using the data of national road traffic accident information system. In the past 10 years, child deaths accounted for more than 30% of road traffic accidents, and the number of child deaths in passenger car was the highest, nearly 70% of child deaths were among children aged 1-6 years. The proportion of child death accidents was the highest from July to August, on Saturday and Sunday and at 16 to 18 o'clock. The findings of this study reveal the causes of children road traffic injuries, thus contributing to the smooth progress of the study on children road traffic safety.
