摘要
Regulation factors and biomarkers in the follicular phases can be targeted to overcome poor ovarian responders (POR) remain poorly identified. All patients underwent conventional COS protocols. Follicular fluid was harvested during ovum pick-up from POR and normal patients. We analyzed the level of and PGD2 in the follicular fluid of patients with a normal ovarian response and patients with a POR using ELISA. The PGD2 concentration was significantly lower in the follicular fluid of patients with POR than in the follicular fluid of younger and older patients with a normal ovarian response. We measured the concentrations of prostaglandins in human follicular fluid and found that PGD2 supports ovarian functions and female fertility. It plays an important role and modulates the proliferation and differentiation of granulosa cells and steroidogenic activity in these cells. Our data demonstrated that PGD2 levels were lower in the follicular fluid of patients with POR than in the follicular fluid of patients with a normal ovarian response. We suggest that PGD2 is a potential regulator and biomarker to enhance and diagnose POR. This data shows a possibility in developing a therapeutic factor for PORs which promotes follicular development that can be used to develop new COS protocols for personalized induction in women with POR.
