Abstract

Hospital Serdang Primary PCI network started in mid 2015 and actively providing primary PCI service for ST elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) cases from 6 dedicated spoke hospitals with distance range 10 km to 50 km. The maximum capacity of only 10 CCU beds and 12 CHDW in the hub hospital is unable to accommodate the overwhelming cases. As an initiative to optimize the limitations of beds, primary PCI cases which were considered stable after procedure were transferred back to the referring spoke hospital for post procedure care and discharge.
