Abstract
The Au modified SnS2 nano-flowers were synthesized, and the morphology and properties of the SnS2 nano-flowers materials were optimized. Au modified SnS2 nano-flowers chemiresistive-type sensors show better gas-sensing characteristics at low temperatures. At the optimal operating temperature of 100 degrees C, the response value (14.5) of Au/SnS2 sensor to 8 ppm NO2 is significantly higher than that (9.6) of the pristine SnS2 nano-flowers based sensor, and the response and recovery time were also greatly reduced. The improved sensing properties can be attributed to the synergistic effect of the catalytic effect of Au NPs and the Schottky contact formed between Au NPs and SnS2.
