The effect of thymus syriacus plant extract on the main physical and antibacterial activities of ZnO nanoparticles synthesized by SILAR method

•ZnO-NPs were synthesized by SILAR method using T. syriacus plant extract.•The physical features of ZnO-NPs were significantly influenced by T. syriacus concentration.•ZnO-NPs showed high antibacterial activity against Gram-positive and negative bacterial species.•The green synthesized ZnO-NPs play a key role against plant pathogenic bacterial disease agents.
