摘要
•Neuritin overexpression in supporting cells (SCs) mitigates kanamycin-induced hair cells (HCs) loss and hearing thresholds shifts in mice.•Neuritin overexpression in SCs could directly induce the transdifferentiation of SCs to regenerate HCs in cochlea after kanamycin-induced damage.•The findings from in vivo and in vitro studies demonstrated that neuritin may prevent HCs damage and enhance their regeneration via inhibiting notch signaling pathway.
