Abstract

•Green synthesis of MnFe2O4 nanoparticles using plant extracts was reported.•Piper nigrum extract played a vital role as a weak base source and stabilizing agents.•MnFe2O4 exhibited a particle size of 21 nm and a magnetization value of 19.3 emu/g.•Nimotuzumab was conjugated and labeled as Iodine-131-labeled-nimotuzumab-MnFe2O4 NPs.•Iodine-131-labeled-nimotuzumab-MnFe2O4 NPs represent excellent radiochemical purity.
