Maternal allergy modifies the association between reported domestic mold and asthma-related emergency department visits among New York City children
The Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology(2022)
摘要
Report of domestic mold has been associated with asthma related emergency department (ED) visits. Maternal allergy is a risk for developing asthma and could increase susceptibility to wheeze with mold exposure. We hypothesized that self-report of mold or water damage is associated with asthma-related ED visits among children living in lower-income New York City neighborhoods and that this association would be more pronounced among children whose mothers reported having allergy.
