Abstract
Cytomegalovirus (CMV) is the most common infection after organ transplantation; it can be a major cause of morbidity and mortality. Although, the immune-modulator effects played by CMV can be related with an adverse long-term outcome in kidney transplant recipients. The aim of this study is to analyse the association between CMV infection and long term patients and graft survival and other potentially clinical events related with CMV.
