摘要
Adult onset xanthogranuloma (AOX) of the orbit is a rare condition defined by the presence of xanthomatous and Touton giant cells in the peri-orbital tissues. Features suggestive of IgG4-related disease (IgG4-RD) can be seen in AOX; due to a scarcity of cases, it is unclear whether these conditions are related or simply share overlapping features.1 This case study reports a patient with clinically suspected and histologically confirmed AOX of the orbital fat, who was found to have features of IgG4-RD in the lacrimal gland.
