摘要
AA amyloidosis is a protein folding disease characterized by extracellular deposition of amyloid A fibrils derived from the serum amyloid A inflammation protein, causing kidney dysfunction in patients with chronic inflammatory conditions. Several histological studies found a link between the topography or abundance of amyloid deposits and clinical presentation or renal prognosis. However, most of these studies are now outdated, present a non-exhaustive clinical collection and may no longer represent the current epidemiology, especially in France.
