Abstract
Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is commonly diagnosed via a two-step testing approach based on a screening one-hour glucose challenge test (GCT), followed by a diagnostic three-hour glucose tolerance test (GTT). Currently, there is no recommended timeframe in which to obtain a GTT following a positive GCT. The aim of this study was to examine the time interval between the GCT and GTT in patients with GDM and determine the impact on pregnancy and perinatal outcomes.
