Abstract
In this article, recent developments in unprecedented C−H bond functionalization maneuvered through photocatalysis have been highlighted. Selected examples on C−H bond functionalization using the visible light catalysis strategy have been discussed to provide an understanding of the concepts in radical synthetic chemistry. The article mainly focused on the distinct radical generation pathways, representing the potential candidacy of light-induced C−H functionalization reaction in organic synthesis.
