Genomic DNA isolated from nonlesional and lesional Atopic Dermatitis (AD) and nonatopic (NA) skin swabs was used to test whether lantibiotics produced by cutaneous microbes and known to inhibit Staphylococcus aureus (SA) growth, may impact SA culturability.
