Abstract
The recent positive data on the use of sodium glucose co-transporter inhibitors (SGLT2i) in the last few years, begged the question of whether their positive outcomes can be seen in kidney transplant recipients, where we are faced with even more pronounced cardiovascular risk factors than the general population , as we got better in improving graft and patients survival in the short term , we are still falling behind in improving long term patients and graft survival with the unsolved problem of losing patients with a functioning graft from cardiovascular disease and its complication or losing the graft from chronic allograft changes due to difficult to control metabolic aspects namely Obesity , diabetes and blood pressure .
