Abstract
Research in the development of alternative methods of drug delivery is an actual area of modern pharmaceutics. The most promising among them is the inhalation administration. The formation of microspherical particles of solid dispersions of drugs allows not only to ensure rapid action but also significantly increases the bioavailability of hydrophobic active pharmaceutical ingredients. In the present study, microspherical particles of solid dispersions of dipyridamole were obtained using the spray drying method, which can be used for inhalation delivery. The microparticles were characterized using differential scanning calorimetry, X-ray powder diffractometry, and scanning electron microscopy. It was shown that the dissolution rate of the drug from the microparticles is high. The data obtained allow us to develop a method for producing microspherical particles of solid dispersions of drugs with the possibility of inhalation administration.
