Nephroprotective potential of Boerhaavia diffusa and Tinospora cordifolia herbal combination against diclofenac induced nephrotoxicity

•The herbal combination of BD and TC significantly protects kidney function against DCF induced nephrotoxicity, oxidative stress, and inflammation.•Network pharmacology uncovers the therapeutic and multimechanistic role of identified polyphenols against glomerulopathy, inflammation, oxidative stress, etc.•The herbal combination could be used as the best adjuvant to overcome NSAIDs-induced renal impairments and reducing the risk of AKI/CKD.
