Pos-492 mortality in hemodialysis patients: is there any relation with conicity index?

Abdominal fat mass is an important cardiovascular risk factor in hemodialysis (HD). Body mass index (BMI) is the simplest tool to use to measure overweight and obesity but its use in hemodialysis patients to assess the accumulation of atherogenic lipids remains controversial. The objective of our study is to evaluate the abdominal adiposity of our patients by measuring the conicity index (CI) and to look for a possible correlation with the mortality rate in our patients.
