Demand Response Potential Measurement Based on Adjustable Load Scale

With the increasing pressure of power supply in China, demand response, as an important resource of power system, has been widely concerned. Demand response potential assessment is the premise of its implementation. Reasonable assessment of demand response potential is of great significance for effectively gathering demand side resources. Taking Jiangxi Province as an example, this paper forecasts the load after the adjustable load analysis, analyzes the user adjustable load, and evaluates the demand response potential of different users. The calculation results show that the theoretical load reduction scale of the province in the next five years will be 2.3044 million kW to 3.4871 million kW, and the proportion of load reduction will be 8.09% to 8.72%.
