Graph Based Storage and Analysis of Secondary Circuits in Smart Substation

With the continuous improvement of substation automation, the number of secondary equipment has risen sharply, which lead to a more complicated network topology, and the difficulty to manage and analysis of secondary circuits quickly and accurately. In order to improve the semantic richness and visualization level of secondary circuits in smart substations, a graph-based smart substation secondary circuits storage and analysis method is proposed. According to the substation configuration description language (SCL), a representation of SCL based on property graph model is proposed. Based on graph model, the information in substation configuration description (SCD) file is then mapped to graph database. In order to improve the completeness of graph database, entity resolution and relationship completion are implemented. In application, a typical 220kV smart substation file is used to construct a complete graph database and then it is employed to create and visualize secondary circuits of the substation. The performance test results show that graph database is more efficient and stable in different query tasks.
