摘要
Microbial induced corrosion (MIC) is commonly acknowledged as one of main causes deteriorating concrete structures in sewer networks. Alkali-activated material (AAM) is an emerging and sustainable cementing material, which has both superior mechanical property and durability. These demonstrate its potential to replace traditional cement concrete subject to aggressive environmental conditions. In this review, mechanisms of MIC of concrete in sewage were reviewed and discussed. Furthermore, bacteriostatic performance, impermeability and acid resistance as well as the long-term bacteriostatic effectiveness of alkali-activated concrete (AAC) were analyzed and compared with the counterpart of normal concrete, and their differences and effectiveness were then summarized. In addition, future research challenges were elaborated from the coupling effect of atmosphere and sewage, as well as the application of bactericide agents into AAC.
