•The ionic solution-processable Ag nanostructure (SPAN) realizes facile, scalable, and vacuum-free fabrication of metallic nanostructures with tunable properties.•The Ag nanoclusters reduced from Ag ions evolve into the SPAN film with the temperature, ink concentration and coating speed-controlled morphology and generally stronger adhesion.•The SPAN films can be readily patterned and incorporated into various frameworks with tailored optical and electrical properties for specific use.•The SPAN-micropatterned-on-graphene transparent flexible electrodes and the SPAN-interwoven durable electronic textiles are demonstrated.
