A 16-month longitudinal investigation of risk and protective factors for mental health outcomes throughout three national lockdowns and a mass vaccination campaign: Evidence from a weighted Israeli sample during COVID-19

•We investigate mental health and its predictors during COVID-19 through 16 months.•Fatigue was the strongest predictor for impaired mental health and its deterioration.•Health-related concerns uniquely associated with anxiety and posttraumatic stress.•Financial concerns were uniquely associated with depression and anxiety.•Vaccination hesitancy associated with financial concerns and lower sense of protection by authorities.
