Recent results on charmonium production in pp collisions

The ALICE detector at the LHC has measured the charmonium production at mid and forward rapidity in pp collisions at root s = 5.02 TeV. Recent results of the inclusive cross section for J/psi and psi(2S) at midrapidity and forward rapidity are reported. Also, the cross section in various differential bins of transverse-momentum (p(T)) for J/psi, psi(2S) and the psi(2S)-to-J/psi cross section ratios are presented. An inclusive cross section in double-differential bins of transverse-momentum (p(T)) and rapidity for J/psi at forward rapidity are presented. Finally, the results are compared with several theoretical model calculations.
