EBS-Based Key Management Scheme in Heterogeneous Sensor Networks

Aiming at the problem of high cost and poor scalability of the key distribution scheme for heterogeneous sensor networks, a hierarchical key management scheme based on EBS is proposed. In this scheme, the sensor nodes are divided into three layers, the common node layer, the cluster head node layer, and the sink layer. The authentication of the public keys between the sink nodes and the base station use a certificate and a non-multiple signature mechanism. And the authenticated sink node uses an EBS key management scheme based on the combination theory to generate and distribute keys for the cluster head node. Performance analysis shows that this scheme reduces the storage and calculation overhead of key management to a certain extent, and improves the security and scalability of the network.
