Sample-efficient Search for Satisfactory OLED Designs

Higher efficiency OLEDs can operate with less power, but identifying efficient designs can be a slow process because the cost of fabricating proposed designs is extreme. Com- putational simulations are more expedient, but they provide only an approximation to the eventual manufactured out- come. Moreover, blind search for the optimal structure with simulations is not a favorable choice due to the number of design parameters and high computational costs. We apply the Constraint Active Search methodology to identify a di- verse set of designs which all have suitably high efficiency for eventual consideration for physical fabrication.
