The Association between Public versus Private Insurance and Poor Asthma Control in the Pediatric Population Using the 2013 and 2018 National Health Interview Survey

In the United States, public insurance has previously been correlated with poor asthma control in children. Prior studies assessing the relationship between public insurance and poor asthma outcomes have been limited by small sample sizes. We hypothesized that public versus private insurance is associated with a higher odds of poor asthma control in children when evaluated in a large, nationally representative dataset.
