Abstract
Approximately 15% of clinically recognized pregnancies end in a miscarriage, with two or more failed clinical pregnancies established as recurrent miscarriage (RM), as defined by the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM). RM affects 1-2% of women who are childbearing age. The leading cause of miscarriages, approximately 60%, seem to arise from chromosomal errors. Previous history of miscarriages increases the incidence of euploid miscarriages. However, a prior study showed that aneuploid miscarriages occur randomly so that the risk of subsequent aneuploid miscarriage is not increased based on previous history.
