Freight Train Speed Tracking Based on Optimal Preview Control

Abstract
Freight train automatic speed accurate tracking is the key link of stability and safety. To reduce the influence on tracking accuracy caused by large time delay of freight train speed tracking system, the response time and command transmission delay characteristics of traction and braking system are studied in this paper, a train speed tracking control model with first-order delay and pure delay is constructed. The freight trains optimal preview speed tracking controller was designed using difference operator, compare with sliding mode controller and fuzzy PID controller, this controller has the characteristics of high response, small speed error.
