Abstract
In 2021, the power grid company will build a new power system as a new development direction for the energy and power industry. “Digitalization” is one of the important features of the new power system. As the scale of the power grid expands year by year, the number of equipment in the distribution network has increased sharply, accompanied by the increase in the number of faults, the expansion of the scope of power outages, and the increased duration of power outages. Therefore, ensuring the normal and reliable operation of the power grid and avoiding equipment failure is a huge challenge for operation and maintenance personnel. This paper reviews the development history of situation awareness and fault prediction in domestic and foreign distribution networks, and outlines the related mathematical models and constraints of situation awareness and fault prediction. Summarizes the current common fault prediction methods, analyzes the application characteristics and existing problems of each method, and finally analyzes the problems that need to be studied in depth in combination with the latest development trend of the distribution network.
