摘要
Heterozygote mothers of children with Hemophilia experience guilt related to this inherited genetic condition. Several factors contributing to maternal guilt in Hemophilia heterozygotes have been identified, but the scope and extent of guilt have not previously been quantified. Understanding the scope and extent of maternal guilt allows providers to provide appropriate targeted counseling, suggest effective coping strategies, and promote positive health outcomes for mothers and their children. This study first sought to gain insight into the experience of mothers with sons with Hemophilia and how they perceive and manage medical guilt.
