Abstract
•FeCo2S4 nanorods growing on Ni foam were prepared, the nanorods structure enhanced the electrochemical performance.•The FeCo2S4 nanorods revealed a high specific capacitance of 4035 F g−1.•The symmetric device gives the highest specific energy of 37.72 Wh g−1 and capacitance retention of 80.4% after 5000 charge/discharge cycles.
