Tobacco-specific and combustion pollutants in settled house dust in Malta.

Indoor activities, ventilation practices, and infiltration of outdoor pollutants contribute to a complex SHD composition. Although the BaP is on the lower end of carcinogenicity, the effects of a mixture including tobacco-related potent carcinogens in SHD are largely unknown. In view of indoor, continuous exposure to SHD through several pathways, further research is warranted.
