Abstract
V gamma 6(+)gamma delta T cells develop in the thymus at the perinatal stage and are exclusive IL-17A producers among gamma delta T cells. The loss of MHC class II led to the expansion of IL-17A(+)V gamma 6(+)gamma delta T cells in the thymus. Thus, MHC class II in the thymus inhibits the generation of IL-17A(+)V gamma 6(+)gamma delta T cells.
