摘要
•What is currently known about this topic?○Slide tracheoplasty is currently the gold standard treatment for severe congenital tracheal stenosis. Patient outcomes have improved over the past few decades, but some patients require postoperative surgical intervention, such as balloon dilation, stenting, granulation removal, and tracheostomy.•What new information is contained in this article?○In contrast to previous reports, postoperative surgical intervention was seldom seen in our series. Meticulous, perioperative positioning of the endotracheal tube and preserving the tracheal blood flow can minimize the need for postoperative intervention.Multivariable analysis revealed complex cardiovascular anomaly (P=0.05) and preoperative ECMO (P=0.019) to be adverse predictors of survival. Age, weight, tracheal diameter and length of the narrow segment, single lung, and preoperative mechanical ventilation were not significantly related to survival.
