Computation of optimum parameters to achieve the intrusion of mandibular central incisor and mandibular canine for deep bite treatment

•Segmented arch method is used for correction of deep bite.•Mandibular central incisor and mandibular canine is considered for intrusion.•Required tilt angle of cantilever arm is computed mathematically.•Different positions of point of intrusive force application are considered.•The best suited position of force point is determined for both the teeth.
