摘要

•Using CBCT, volumetric changes of adenoids and tonsils following rapid palatal expansion (RPE) was assessed.•RPE decreases the size of enlarged adenoids and palatine tonsils.•RPE may be considered for patients with narrow palate and adenotonsillar hypertrophy.•RPE may have a role in patients with unsuccessful adenotonsillectomy outcome.
