Evaluation of matrix effect in determination of mevinphos stereoisomers in tobacco by supercritical fluid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry

•The SFC-MS/MS matrix effects of mevinphos isomers in three typical tobacco samples were investigated.•The matrix effects of mevinphos isomers were sensitively influenced by the matrix type, matrix dilution, chromatographic column, modifier.•The matrix effect caused by burley tobacco was significantly higher than other tobacco.
